Webhooks
Set up automated messages to Discord channels.
Webhooks allow Altitude to send automated messages to your Discord server without requiring the bot to be constantly online.
Creating a Webhook
Step-by-Step Setup
- In your Discord server, go to Server Settings > Integrations > Webhooks
- Click Create Webhook
- Choose the channel where you want messages to be sent
- Customize the webhook:
- Name: Give it a descriptive name (e.g., "Altitude Flights")
- Avatar: Upload an image to represent the webhook
- Channel: Select the channel for webhook messages
Retrieving Webhook URLs
- After creating the webhook, click Copy Webhook URL
- This URL is tied to the specific channel you selected
- Keep this URL secure - anyone with it can post messages to your channel
- Paste the webhook URL in your Altitude Crew Center settings where prompted
