Setting Up the Discord Bot
1. Create a Discord Application
- Visit the Discord Developer Portal
- Click "New Application" and give it a name (e.g., "Air France Virtual")
- Go to the "Bot" section and create a new bot
2. Configure Bot Permissions
- Visit OAuth2:
- Set the "bot" scope
- Then set "Administrator" as the bot permissions
- Copy the generated URL and paste the link in your browser to invite the bot in your server
3. Get Your Bot Token
- In the Bot section, click the "Reset Token" button
- Keep this token secure - never share it publicly
Configure in Altitude
- Navigate to your Crew Center's settings
- Go to
admin/settings?page=discord
- Enter your Discord Bot Token
- Copy your Client ID, it can be found in OAuth2 tab
- Update settings to launch the bot
Features
With the Discord bot integration, you can:
- See your pilot stats
- See the VA's Leaderboard
- Log a PIREP manually or using ACARS
- Track active flights in your VA
Note: ACARS logging and live flight tracking commands require an API key to function properly.
